Tampa Bay Community Indicator Assessment
To address local interest in the development of a neighborhood indicator system, this project builds on past work performed by the Florida Center for Community Design and Research and works in collaboration with the Planning Commission and the multi-agency Social Indicators Network. This study will assess the current data needs and capabilities of government and non-profit agencies, community groups, and businesses within the Tampa Bay region. Additionally, based on the work conducted with these stakeholders, we will select a small set of indicators related to community design and assemble the data in a series of maps and tables that will be provided on the Internet. It is envisioned that this project will serve as a starting point for expansion of the neighborhood indicator system to address a diversity of issues that affect quality of life in local communities.
